DVC Resale Boulder Ridge

Nestled among the pine forests and waterways of Walt Disney World, Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge captures the rustic spirit of the American Northwest. Initially opened in 2000 as Villas at Wilderness Lodge and rebranded in 2016, Boulder Ridge is housed in a separate building beside the main lodge. It delivers a peaceful retreat just minutes from Magic Kingdom, offering DVC resale buyers a rare blend of quiet seclusion and top-tier Disney access.

A Boutique-Style Resort with Prime Location

Located in the Magic Kingdom resort area along Bay Lake, Boulder Ridge features boat service to Magic Kingdom and proximity to Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Though Boulder Ridge has its private lobby and atmosphere, guests enjoy full access to all Wilderness Lodge amenities, from pools and dining to recreation and entertainment. With just 136 units, this resort offers a boutique-style experience without the scale of other deluxe resorts.

For more details on nearby resorts, explore the Old Key West Resort or the Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Updated Accommodations with Classic Design

The five-story timber lodge design is immersive and cozy, with warm wood tones and stone accents. In 2023, Boulder Ridge completed a full villa refurbishment. The upgraded Deluxe Studios, One-Bedroom Villas, and Two-Bedroom Villas now include modern kitchens, Murphy beds, updated bathrooms, and sleek finishes while preserving the lodge’s woodsy, national park aesthetic.

Pools, Dining, and Amenities to Match

Though Boulder Ridge doesn’t have its own pool, it shares two excellent ones with the main resort. The Copper Creek Springs Pool is a feature pool with a water slide, hot tubs, and a stream flowing through the resort’s grounds. For a quieter experience, the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool provides shaded seating, a whirlpool, and a peaceful escape just outside the villa building.

Dining is a major highlight of the Boulder Ridge experience. Whispering Canyon Café serves up rowdy, family-style feasts. Geyser Point Bar & Grill offers lakeside seating and some of the best burgers at Walt Disney World. For something more refined, Story Book Dining at Artist Point features characters like Snow White and the Evil Queen in an enchanted forest atmosphere. All these locations are within easy walking distance of the villas.

Transportation and Magic Kingdom Access

In addition to boat service to Magic Kingdom, guests can take Disney buses to the other three parks and Disney Springs. Walking or boating to Fort Wilderness expands your options with additional dining and recreation.

Boulder Ridge in the DVC Resale Market

On the DVC resale market, Boulder Ridge offers excellent value. Contracts expire in 2042, which often results in lower price points than newer properties with longer deeds. For many buyers, this makes Boulder Ridge ideal for families planning vacations over the next 10 to 15 years, or retirees who want Magic Kingdom access without a 40-year commitment.

With limited inventory and strong booking demand, especially for studios, owning at Boulder Ridge provides the coveted 11-month booking window advantage. It’s beautiful for those who enjoy nature-inspired theming, smaller resort layouts, and quieter stays away from crowds.
