Selling your Disney Vacation Club membership doesn't have to be complicated. DVC Sales has streamlined the entire process so you can go from deciding to sell to receiving your wire transfer in as little as 45 days. Our platform handles the paperwork, connects you with qualified buyers, and keeps you informed at every stage. Here's everything you need to know about selling your DVC contract on the resale market.
Smart Listing Creation
Our system reads your deed and points statements automatically. Just upload your documents and watch as your contract details, point allocations, and use year populate instantly. No manual data entry, no guessing — every detail is extracted with precision, creating a complete and accurate listing in minutes instead of hours.
Your Contract, Your Price
You set your own asking price and remain in complete control throughout the process. Our deal rating system shows buyers how your price compares to recent sales, which helps attract serious offers quickly. You can adjust your price anytime from your seller dashboard, and you're never locked into a listing agreement. If you change your mind, simply deactivate your listing — no penalties, no questions asked.
Real-Time Offer Management
When a buyer submits an offer, you receive instant notifications via email, text message, and push notification. Review the full offer details — price per point, total amount, buyer information — right from your phone or computer. Accept the offer with one tap, send a counter offer, or decline and wait for a better match. Every interaction is logged in your dashboard so you have a complete record of all negotiations.
Hassle-Free Closing
Once you accept an offer, our team handles everything. The purchase agreement is generated automatically with all the correct figures. After both parties sign electronically, the contract goes to Disney for their 30-day ROFR review. When ROFR clears, our licensed title company prepares the closing documents. You sign from home using virtual notary — no trips to an office, no printing stacks of paperwork. Your proceeds are wired directly to your bank account on the same day the transaction closes.
Your Selling Timeline
What Does It Cost to Sell?
There are no upfront fees to list your contract on DVC Sales. The seller is responsible for the broker commission and Disney's $150 Estoppel fee — both paid only at closing, after the sale is complete. The buyer covers closing costs and Disney's $500 Administration fee. You never pay a dime until your sale closes and you receive your wire transfer.
Our commission structure is straightforward and competitive. No hidden charges, no listing fees, no marketing costs. The amount you see quoted in your listing dashboard is exactly what you'll receive at closing — no surprises, no deductions you didn't agree to.
Seller Questions
It depends. You can continue using your points until you accept an offer, but any pending reservation after the estimated closing date must be canceled. Once the purchase agreement is signed, you agree not to make any new reservations or transfer points. You may bank points if asked by the buyer. Sellers are required to disclose any pending reservations on the contract cover page. It is also the seller's responsibility to accurately represent their current available points. If you use any points while your listing is active, you must update your available points on your profile page so buyers see the correct information.
If Disney matches the buyer's offer and takes the contract, you still receive the full agreed-upon sale price — Disney pays you directly. Your contract is sold either way. Most contracts at competitive market pricing pass through ROFR without Disney exercising their right.
A deed is only required for Florida-based DVC contracts. Having your deed and a recent points statement makes the listing process faster, but they're not required upfront. Our system can extract contract details from photos of your documents, and our team can help you locate your deed through county records if needed. We make it as easy as possible to get listed.
Your proceeds are sent via same-day wire transfer directly to your bank account on the day the transaction closes. The title company handles the disbursement after the deed is recorded with the county. You receive the full sale price minus only the agreed-upon broker commission and Disney's $150 Estoppel fee.
Absolutely. You can deactivate your listing at any time from your seller dashboard with no penalties and no fees. If you haven't accepted an offer yet, there is zero obligation. Your listing, your rules.
