How to Read This Comparison
The table above shows two numbers for each resort: what Disney charges directly and what the same contract sells for on the resale market. The gap between those two numbers is your savings.
For most Walt Disney World resorts, the resale discount runs between 40% and 55%. Saratoga Springs and Old Key West tend to have the biggest percentage savings because Disney prices them the same as newer resorts, but the resale market prices them lower based on age, location, and expiration date.
Newer resorts like Riviera have a smaller gap. Disney sells Riviera around $220+ per point and resale contracts trade around $140 to $165. Still a solid discount, but not as dramatic as some of the older properties. That's partly because Riviera contracts come with resale restrictions that the original 14 resorts don't have.
What Resale Restrictions Mean for Buyers
Contracts at the original 14 DVC resorts (everything from Old Key West through Copper Creek) give you full booking access at any of those 14 resorts through the 7-month window. Your home resort gets the 11-month window.
Three newer properties have restrictions when purchased resale: Riviera (opened 2019), the Villas at Disneyland Hotel (2023), and Cabins at Fort Wilderness (2025). Resale buyers at these resorts can only book at their home resort. They can't use the 7-month window at other DVC resorts.
For most buyers, this isn't a dealbreaker. If you're buying Riviera because you want to stay at Riviera, the restriction doesn't change your plans. But if you want maximum flexibility to bounce between resorts, stick with one of the original 14.
Beyond the Price Per Point
Price per point is the headline number, but it's not the only cost. Annual dues vary by resort from $8.31 per point (Grand Floridian) to $14.89 per point (Vero Beach). Over 10 years, that difference adds up fast. A 150-point contract at Vero Beach costs about $990 more per year in dues than the same contract at Grand Floridian.
Closing costs and Disney's $500 administration fee are buyer-paid. The seller covers the broker commission and Disney's $150 estoppel fee. All of this is shown upfront when you make an offer on our platform. No surprises at closing.

Get StartedFrequently Asked Questions
Which DVC resort has the lowest resale price?
Saratoga Springs and Old Key West typically have the lowest price per point on the resale market, usually in the $100-$120 range. Newer resorts like Riviera and Polynesian Tower run $140-$175+ per point. Prices change weekly based on what sellers list, so check back often.
How often do DVC resale prices change?
Resale prices shift constantly. New listings go up every day, and contracts close every week. We update our pricing data in real time as listings come on and off the market across all major DVC brokers. Disney's direct prices usually change once or twice a year.
What affects DVC resale pricing?
The biggest factors are resort location, contract size, use year, and how many points are available. A 200-point contract at Animal Kingdom Lodge with all points banked will sell for more per point than a stripped 50-point contract. Expiration year matters too. Contracts expiring in 2042 sell for less than those running to 2070.
How much can I save buying DVC resale vs. direct from Disney?
Most buyers save 40-60% buying resale compared to Disney's direct prices. For example, if Disney sells Saratoga Springs at $200 per point and the resale market averages $110, that's a 45% savings. On a 150-point contract, that's roughly $13,500 you keep in your pocket.
