Cheapest DVC Resale

Disney Vacation Club Resort

Looking for the most affordable DVC resale options? You've landed in the right place. Purchasing a Disney Vacation Club membership through the resale market can deliver magical vacations for decades, and you don't have to pay Disney's retail prices to get there. At DVC Sales, we make it straightforward to find verified resale contracts that are current, accurate, and thoroughly vetted. Make an informed decision and save thousands compared to purchasing directly from Disney.

Why Choose Affordable DVC Resale?

Purchasing DVC resale remains the most cost-effective path to premium Disney vacations. While retail prices for Disney Vacation Club points continue climbing, the resale market delivers substantial savings. Often 30-50% less than Disney's direct prices. These savings let you either purchase more points for your family's needs or simply reduce your overall investment in long-term Disney stays.

Browse our DVC resale listings to see current inventory. Compare entry-level pricing options like Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, and Animal Kingdom Lodge contracts. Each offers different advantages depending on your vacation style and timeline preferences.

Understanding the DVC Points System

Disney Vacation Club operates on a points-based system that provides genuine flexibility in vacation planning. Your points work at any DVC resort, subject to availability, which means you can adapt your trips to match changing family preferences over time.

Each resort comes with a "home resort" advantage. As a member, you can book your home resort up to 11 months in advance, compared to 7 months for non-home resorts. This advantage becomes crucial when you're trying to secure popular dates like Christmas week or summer holidays. It also matters for booking preferred room locations and villa types at your home resort.

The points system isn't complicated once you understand the basics. Each villa type and season requires a specific number of points per night. Studios need fewer points than one-bedroom villas, weeknights cost less than weekends, and value seasons require fewer points than peak periods. This structure gives you control over how you spend your annual point allotment.

How to Find the Best DVC Resale Deals

Our team monitors the resale market daily to bring you current, cost-effective contracts. When browsing available inventory, you'll want to examine several key factors:

  • Price per point: This determines your overall membership cost and helps you compare contracts across different resorts.
  • Contract details: Use year, expiration date, and total points all affect how you'll plan and book your vacations.
  • Available points and banked points: Understanding what points come with the contract helps you maximize immediate vacation potential.
  • Dues status and current-year points: Knowing the payment status helps you avoid unexpected costs at closing.

The official Disney Vacation Club points chart shows exactly how far your points stretch across different seasons and villa types. This tool becomes invaluable for planning trips and ensuring you get the most value from your membership investment.

We also recommend checking recent sales data through our DVC market report to understand current pricing trends. This information helps you recognize genuine deals versus contracts priced above market value.

Is the Cheapest DVC Resale Right for You?

The lowest-priced contract isn't always the best value for your family's situation. Less expensive contracts might have shorter remaining terms or belong to resorts with limited booking flexibility. For example, a contract expiring in 2042 costs less per point than one running through 2064, but you'll have fewer years to use it.

Our licensed agents help you balance affordability with practical considerations. We'll walk you through how different home resorts affect your booking options and discuss whether a cheaper contract truly meets your long-term vacation goals. Sometimes spending slightly more upfront saves money and frustration over the contract's lifetime.

Consider your family's typical vacation patterns. Do you prefer staying at one resort consistently, or do you like variety? Will you visit during peak seasons when booking windows matter most? These preferences should influence which "affordable" contract makes the most sense for your situation.

Transparent Pricing with No Buyer Fees

Transparency guides everything we do at DVC Sales. As a purchaser, you won't encounter buyer commissions or hidden fees. Your costs are straightforward and predictable:

  • The agreed contract price
  • A $500 buyer administrative fee
  • Title company closing costs
  • Prorated dues for any banked points included with the contract

Understanding these costs upfront helps you budget accurately without surprises at closing. You can review more details about all costs associated with DVC transactions to get the complete picture.

Compare this to our industry-standard 6.9% commission structure, which is significantly lower than the 9.5% average charged by other brokerages. This difference means more money stays in sellers' pockets, often resulting in better pricing for purchasers as well.

Expert Guidance from Licensed Professionals

Choosing the most affordable DVC resale doesn't mean sacrificing professional support. Our team includes licensed real estate professionals and former Disney Vacation Club cast members who understand both the technical and practical sides of DVC ownership.

We'll help you interpret contract terms, understand home resort advantages, and calculate the true cost of ownership over time. Annual dues vary significantly between resorts, and these ongoing costs matter just as much as your initial purchase price.

Our agents can also explain how Disney's Right of First Refusal (ROFR) works and what pricing levels typically pass through the process successfully. This knowledge helps you make competitive offers that are likely to close.

Long-Term Value Considerations

When evaluating any DVC resale contract, the expiration date significantly impacts long-term value. Current contracts range from 2042 to 2077 depending on the resort. A contract with more remaining years costs more upfront but provides decades of additional vacation potential.

Annual dues represent your ongoing ownership costs, and these vary considerably by resort. Current annual dues range from around $7 per point at some older resorts to over $9 per point at newer properties. These fees typically increase each year, so factor this into your long-term budget planning.

Some resorts historically hold their value better in the resale market. This matters if you might sell your contract in the future. Resorts like Bay Lake Tower and Polynesian Village tend to maintain stronger resale values, while older contracts at resorts nearing their expiration dates may depreciate more quickly.

Consider your family's vacation timeline as well. If you're planning to use DVC heavily in the next 10-15 years but less frequently afterward, a shorter-term contract might actually provide better value than paying premium pricing for extra years you won't fully use.

Making Your Decision

The cheapest DVC resale contract isn't automatically the best choice for every family. Instead, focus on finding the contract that delivers the best combination of affordability, flexibility, and alignment with your vacation preferences.

Start by estimating your family's vacation patterns for the next few years. How often do you visit Disney properties? Which seasons work best for your schedule? Do you prefer studio accommodations or larger villas? These answers help determine how many points you need and which home resort makes the most sense.

Once you understand your requirements, compare contracts based on total cost of ownership rather than just purchase price. Factor in annual dues, remaining contract years, and the practical value of different home resort advantages.

Work with our team to review available contracts that match your criteria. We can walk you through the numbers and help you understand exactly what you're getting with each option. Our goal is ensuring your DVC purchase delivers the vacation experiences your family wants at a price that makes financial sense.

The Affordable Resorts and What You Actually Get for the Lower Price

Three DVC resorts consistently sit at the lower end of the resale price spectrum, and they're worth looking at seriously if budget is a primary factor in your buying decision. Saratoga Springs is the largest DVC resort on Walt Disney World property, with over 1,600 villas spread across multiple buildings near Disney Springs. Because it's large and has a longer contract (runs to 2054), it produces more resale supply than smaller resorts. More supply keeps the per-point price lower. On the resale market, Saratoga Springs has traded in the $85 to $110 per point range, meaning a 150-point contract runs roughly $12,750 to $16,500. That's among the lowest entry points in the entire DVC system.

Old Key West is the original DVC resort, opened in 1991. It features the largest studio villas in the Disney Vacation Club lineup — Old Key West studios are roughly 376 square feet, compared to 356 at Saratoga Springs and around 220 square feet at some of the newer resorts. The villas feel more like a condominium complex than a hotel. Old Key West has the earliest expiration date of any current DVC resort, with most contracts expiring in 2042 (though an extension option pushed some to 2057). The approaching expiration on 2042 contracts is the primary reason prices run lower, in the $80 to $100 per point range. Buyers who plan to use the membership for 15 to 18 years and don't need the full remaining lifespan find Old Key West a strong value.

Animal Kingdom Villas falls slightly higher on the price scale than the two above, typically $95 to $120 per point on the resale market, but it's still meaningfully cheaper than Beach Club ($150 to $175/pt), Polynesian ($170 to $195/pt), or Grand Floridian ($185 to $220/pt). Animal Kingdom Villas offers something those pricier resorts don't: savanna views with giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest visible from your room. The resort sits adjacent to the park entrance and splits across Jambo House and Kidani Village.

The important thing to understand about buying at a lower-cost resort is that your booking access doesn't change. DVC works on a home resort priority system where you can book your home resort at the 11-month window and any other DVC resort at the 7-month window. That 7-month window gives you access to Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Polynesian, and every other resort. If you travel during shoulder seasons — January, February, September, early December — availability at the 7-month window is strong across nearly every resort. Buying Saratoga Springs doesn't confine you to Saratoga Springs. It just means you get first access to Saratoga Springs, and you can shop everything else at 7 months. That trade-off works well for off-peak travelers who want the DVC lifestyle at a lower cost basis. Mark was a great guy to work with while successfully selling my 6 DVC contracts. He definitely knows the DVC business well. He always responded very quickly any time I had questions or needed help with any part of the sales process. He works very hard to earn his commission, especially considering that he has the lowest one around. He is up front about everything with no hidden surprises. I would obviously not hesitate to use his services again.

Mark was incredible about helping us with any questions we had during the process of purchasing our first DVC contract. Mark helped us navigate all aspects from making our offer all the way to the close of the deal and getting our points loaded up. We would certainly buy more points here in the future! I highly recommend him and his team.

Very happy with all aspects of working with DVC Sales and this is the second time of using them! Their website is clear and user-friendly and as international sellers, the information on FIRPTA was hugely helpful, particularly the links to all the forms. The whole process from start to finish has been seamless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to other sellers as a highly professional company. Thank you Mark!
