Why Pricing Your DVC Resale Listing Matters
Setting a competitive asking price is the most important factor when listing your Disney Vacation Club (DVC) membership for resale. The right price draws more buyer attention, speeds up offers, and reduces the time your listing stays on the market.
Some sellers make the mistake of pricing based on their original purchase price or relying on opinions from friends or online forums. This often leads to overpricing, resulting in fewer views, less buyer interest, and limited engagement.
Pricing Based on Real-Time Market Data
The best pricing strategies use up-to-date market data. At DVC Sales, sellers can compare active listings, analyze buyer behavior, and accurately assess their contract’s value.
Buyers typically filter listings by resort and point size. After that, they focus on the available points and the price per point. While available points cannot be changed, adjusting your price to stay competitive is key. Even small price changes can significantly boost buyer interest.
Use Section 3 to Check Your Price Ranking
Within your seller dashboard, use Section 3 on the View Details page to see how your listing ranks among others at your resort based on price per point and point availability. Our algorithm highlights contracts delivering the most value to buyers; these generate the most offers.
If your resort has 20 or more active listings, aim to price your contract to rank within the top 8. This range captures the most buyer activity and offers.
Flexible Pricing and Expert Support
You can update your asking price anytime with no additional cost. If you want help reviewing recent sales or estimating your contract’s value based on market trends, the DVC Sales team is always ready to assist.
