Dave's DVC (also known as David's Vacation Club Rentals) is a point rental marketplace. DVC members who own more points than they can use in a given year list those points for rent. Guests pay a per-point rate, typically around $20–$25 per point, for access to DVC villa accommodations for a single trip, without owning anything.
It is a legitimate way to stay at Disney Vacation Club resorts for less than booking through Disney directly. If you are planning a one-time Disney trip or want to try DVC before committing, renting points is a reasonable option.
The tradeoff: you pay those rental costs every time you travel. You have no guaranteed availability, no home resort priority, and no equity. If you travel to Disney regularly, the math shifts decisively in favor of ownership.
