How much does it cost to sell my DVC with DVC Sales?
Our commission is 6.9% of the sale price, and you pay Disney's $150 estoppel fee. The buyer pays the closing costs and Disney's $500 Club Activation Fee (CAF).
What do other DVC resale brokers charge?
Most charge about 9% to 9.5%. On a $20,000 contract, that is $420 to $520 more in commission than ours.
Does it matter which broker lists my contract?
Not for being found. Buyers search sites that show every listing in one place, ours included. Every buyer sees your contract either way. What matters is the fee you pay and the terms you get in writing.
Why do I keep more than just the commission difference?
Because our fee terms are locked in writing. The buyer pays the closing costs and the CAF, and reimburses your dues on the current year's bankable points. With other brokers, these can be haggled onto you.
Can a buyer ask me to pay closing costs or skip my dues reimbursement?
Not with us. Buyers can change their price per point, but not the fees. These terms are in our published business plan and in your contract.
How long does it take to sell?
Most sales close about 45 days after the contract is signed. Disney's right of first refusal review takes 30 days and cannot be shortened. Once Disney waives, we close within 5 to 10 days.
