Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is the anchor of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom hotel cluster, and its dining options represent some of the best food on Disney property. In 2024, Victoria & Albert's made history as the first theme park restaurant in the United States to earn a Michelin star. But that's just one piece of a dining lineup that covers everything from quick-service pool food to proper special-occasion restaurants.
DVC members staying at Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort have access to all of this without ever leaving their resort grounds. Members at other resorts can reach the Grand Floridian via monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center or by boat from Magic Kingdom. Here's what's worth your time.
Victoria & Albert's
This is Disney's flagship fine dining restaurant, and earning a Michelin star in 2024 confirmed what regular guests have known for years: it operates at a level genuinely comparable to the best restaurants in any major American city. The menu is a prix fixe tasting format with 10 or more courses built around seasonal ingredients. There's a wine pairing option, a chef's table experience with even more courses and direct kitchen interaction, and a Queen Victoria's Room for the most private setting.
Reservations open at the 60-day Disney dining window and fill almost immediately. If you want to go, mark your calendar and be in the app or on the phone at 6 AM on day 60 before your visit. The cost is significant — dinner for two with wine pairing will exceed $400 easily — but for a milestone occasion or a trip where you want one genuinely extraordinary meal, there's nothing else like it at Walt Disney World.
Narcoossee's
Narcoossee's is positioned on the water between the Grand Floridian and Magic Kingdom, and the view of the Seven Seas Lagoon at dinner — including the Magic Kingdom fireworks — is the main event alongside a seafood-focused menu. The food is well-prepared rather than destination-worthy on its own, but the combination of the setting, the fireworks view, and reliably good cooking makes it one of the more memorable dining experiences on Disney property for adults.
Request a waterfront table when making your reservation. The interior tables are fine but miss the main attraction.
Grand Floridian Cafe
Grand Floridian Cafe is the accessible option in the building — American comfort food with consistent quality and more reasonable prices than the resort's signature restaurants. It's a solid choice for families who want a sit-down meal without a lengthy wait for a character meal or the cost of a signature restaurant. Breakfast here is good; eggs, French toast, and lighter options alongside heartier choices. Reservations are recommended but sometimes available on shorter notice than the resort's higher-profile options.
1900 Park Fare
1900 Park Fare is the character dining option at the Grand Floridian. Breakfast features Cinderella's family — Cinderella, Prince Charming, the evil stepsisters (Anastasia and Drizella), and sometimes the Fairy Godmother. Dinner features Mary Poppins and various Wonderland characters. The food is a buffet format and functions well as a family experience more than as a culinary destination.
For families with young children who love Cinderella, the breakfast here is one of the better character meal experiences on property. The stepsisters have personalities, the characters interact rather than just posing for photos, and the Grand Floridian setting adds to the atmosphere in a way that character meals at other resorts don't always match.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
Technically at the Beach Club next door to the Grand Floridian, Beaches & Cream is close enough to include here for any member staying at Grand Floridian Villas. It's a classic American soda fountain — ice cream, milkshakes, the famous Kitchen Sink sundae. It's not a restaurant in the conventional sense, but for families who want dessert or a light meal in a nostalgic setting, it delivers consistently. The Kitchen Sink is absurd in the best way: multiple scoops of ice cream, every sauce, whipped cream, and a full can of spray whipped cream served in a stainless steel kitchen sink. It's meant for groups.
Pool Bar and Quick Service
The Grand Floridian's pool bar (Beach Pool Bar) serves drinks and light food during pool hours. For DVC members doing a resort day between park visits, the quick service options in the resort's main building — Gasparilla Island Grill — handle breakfast, lunch, and snacks without requiring reservations or significant planning.
Planning Your Grand Floridian Dining
The most important reservation to secure is Victoria & Albert's, which requires the most advance planning of any restaurant at Walt Disney World. 1900 Park Fare and Narcoossee's should be booked at the 60-day window. Grand Floridian Cafe sometimes has same-day or same-week availability. For DVC members interested in the Grand Floridian as a home resort, browse current Grand Floridian resale contracts — owning here means access to all of this plus the 11-month booking window. Reach out if you'd like to discuss whether this resort fits your vacation goals.
