The latest Disney news deserves a sigh of relief. Disney has finally let go of the Face Mask requirements for visitors to Disney parks. The new orders were implemented on February 17.

The coronavirus outbreak brought many restrictions for travelers to the Disney Parks. With these travel restrictions and other safety measures, your favorite vacation spots became a little less fun. However, thanks to this Disney news we finally see a sign of things coming back to normal.

Guests to the Disney parks can experience the magical moments again without worrying about Covid regulations. Although Disney has eased up their safety policies considerably, there are still a few exceptions where guests must wear face masks and comply with the essential safety measures.

Disney’s Reopening Phase in Full Swing

Disney accelerated its reopening phase, with significant announcements made at the start of this year. Earlier in the July of 2020, Disney started reopening the major theme parks. However, many activities remained suspended.

Since then, Disney has been gradually reopening previously closed park activities. However, the reopening phase faced its fair share of challenges. With the Delta variant making its way into the US, it was feared that the strict safety restrictions could return to Disney parks.

Fortunately, it finally seems like the world is coming back to normal. The most significant indication for Disney fans is the current policy of easing safety rules.

Let's look at Disney’s latest policies in-depth and understand how they might affect you.

Disney’s New Face mask Policy

Since the pandemic started, Disney has revisited and reshaped its safety policies according to the changing circumstances. It is not the first time Disney is easing its face mask regulations. Last year in June, masks were made optional for visitors to the park, but Disney soon imposed the regulations with the rise of Covid's delta variant.

Before the latest policy implementation, Disney had quite strict restrictions in place. For example, face masks were mandatory for all indoor activities irrespective of the vaccinations status. That has changed from February 17 onwards.

According to the new policy, fully vaccinated guests don't need to cover their face in indoor and outdoor activities. However, this mandate does not apply to Disney’s enclosed transportation services. This means that guests (ages two and more) will have to wear face coverings while traveling on Disney’s buses, Skyliner, and monorails.

On the contrary, unvaccinated guests must cover their faces when indoors. The following rule comes as a safety measure for unvaccinated people since they are at a greater risk of getting affected by the contagious virus.

Face covering guidelines for unvaccinated guests are as follows:

Bottom line

The bottom line is simple. Your favorite Disney parks are coming back to normal. Disney has eased up its face-covering policies, and hopefully, more fortunate updates will follow. So plan your Disney World vacations today.
