How DVC Resale Maximizes Savings and Earnings in 2022

Becoming a Disney Vacation Club member allows you and your family to make magical vacation memories for years to come while saving on typical Disney hotel pricing. Larger accommodations and homey touches like full kitchens are other reasons that make becoming a Disney Vacation Club member beneficial. You save even more when you become a DVC member by purchasing a DVC resale contract. Exactly how much does  DVC Sales save you? We discuss this below.

BUYING A DVC RESALE

Here are some ways buying a DVC contract with DVC Sales helps you save on becoming a Disney Vacation Club member:

SAVE 20 - 50% OFF DIRECT DISNEY PRICING

DVC resale contracts are typically 20% to 50% lower than DVC pricing when you purchase directly from Disney. That’s almost half the cost as direct! When you buy DVC resale, you get many of the same DVC member perks at a much lower price. In recent years, the benefits of direct DVC memberships from Disney have dropped significantly, making buying DVC resale even more beneficial. Take a look at our DVC resale vs. retail calculator to compare the cost of buying a resale contract versus direct pricing.

FLEXIBILITY IN CONTRACT SIZE

To receive DVC Membership Extras when purchasing directly from Disney, you will need to buy a minimum of 150 vacation points to get all the perks (many of which are unavailable right now). This vacation point minimum has increased drastically over the last few years, from a mere 75 points needed in 2018 to 150 points in 2021. It is fair to assume that the point minimums will continue to increase.

With DVC Sales, however, there are a variety of contracts at various point amounts available. Whether you’re a first-time DVC member or want to add on points to a current membership, many options are available when you purchase resale.

AUTOMATED PROCESS - SAVE TIME AND MONEY!

DVC Sales has a fully-remote, automated buying and selling process. Through our safe and secure online system, you can search listings, make offers, sign contracts, and submit payments from the comfort of your own home—whenever you want. Plus, you don’t need to be present for closing, either. If you have questions, we’re happy to help.

SELLING YOUR DISNEY VACATION CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Here’s how DVC Sales will net you more money in the bank for your DVC membership.

YOU SET THE PRICE

Unlike other DVC resale brokers, you’re in charge of setting your listing price with DVC Sales. You can negotiate with a potential buyer as desired, giving you more control over selling your membership. You can also adjust your asking price using our automated system anytime you want.

NET MORE THAN DISNEY BUYBACK

If you’re considering allowing Disney to buyback your DVC membership, you should think again. In our experience, DVC members who use DVC Sales to sell their memberships typically receive 20% more than Disney will offer for your membership. That means you could potentially earn an additional $4,000 to $10,000 more by selling with DVC Sales. It’s important to note that Disney will only buy back memberships at a small number of completely sold-out resorts. Use our Disney buyback vs. DVC Sales tool to compare Disney buyback pricing with what you could sell your membership for with DVC Sales.

COMPETITIVE COMMISSION

DVC Sales charges an 8% commission. There are no other upfront or hidden fees of any kind. This commission is one of the lowest in the DVC resale industry and is our standard rate—not a special promotion that is only available a few weeks at a time.

ANNUAL DUES REIMBURSEMENT

Other DVC resale brokers allow buyers to negotiate closing costs and annual due reimbursement for the current year. However, DVC Sales doesn’t allow buyers to negotiate these fees. We believe sellers should be compensated for annual dues on vacation points they don't get to use. This way, you get the most money for your DVC membership.

DVC RESALE WITH DVC SALES

Our DVC Sales team has over 25 years of experience buying and selling DVC memberships directly for Disney and a licensed DVC resale broker. Whether you want to buy or sell your membership, you can maximize your savings and earnings for your DVC membership with DVC Sales. Take a look at our DVC resale listings, or create an account to list your membership to get started.
