Disney’s Animal Kingdom: The Largest Disney Theme Park

Disney Attractions

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is located at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is a zoological theme park.  The Walt Disney Company owns and operates it. It is one of the best Disney attractions. Covering an area of 580 acres, it is the world's second-largest theme park. The park is a natural environment and animal conservation, and these features distinguish it from the rest of Walt Disney World's theme parks.

It is a breathtaking place to visit with your family. People of all ages will love this place. It is a complete enjoyment package consisting of live animals, amazing shows, thrilling rides, spectacular scenery, and delicious food. This park is everything you would expect from Disney attractions.

The park is divided into six areas. Each of the six areas in Disney's Animal Kingdom is unique in its theme. The fantastic features of the six areas are listed below, so it will be easier to plan your visit to the park.

1. The Oasis

This is the first area you will see as you enter the park. You will find a Guest Relations desk and the stroller rental counter here. It does not have any main attractions, but still, you will be able to see some species of animals as you move towards the main attractions.

2. Discovery Island

After crossing the bridge and entering Discovery Island, you will see a vibrant and colorful place where you will see lots of dancing and hear music. Here, you will find The Park's biggest gift shops and great food options, such as the famous Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, and Tiffins. The main attraction of this part is the famous park icon, the Tree of Life. This tree provides the opportunity to take photographs. The night view of this tree is fantastic.

 3. Africa

Africa land is large and far from the main entrance, so it requires some walking to go there. With that being said, it is well worth the walk. This is a fun-loving land, and performers play traditional African music. The fantastic Kilimanjaro Safari ride begins here, which you can take to see 34 species of animals on a simulated African preserve. You can see The Festival of the Lion King here, which is a must-see show if you visit Disney's Animal Kingdom.

 4. Asia

The fourth land in Animal Kingdom. Just like Africa, it is located at the very back of the park, but you won't regret visiting it. Here you'll find two thrilling roller coaster rides, Expedition Everest and the Kali River Rapids. If we talk about the food, the food options in Asia will not disappoint you. You can enjoy pan-Asian cuisine for both lunch and dinner. Yeti Restaurant is a great place for that Yak & Yeti Local Foods. A cafe is also a good place for a quick bite.

5. Dinoland U.S.A.

Dinoland U.S.A. is the place that will keep the younger crowd entertained. No kid can resist the big dinosaur-themed playground. It also has some fascinating rides, such as Triceratops Spin, which is perfect for the younger kids. Older visitors can try the thrilling Dinosaur ride or the Primeval Whirl roller coaster.

6. Pandora – The World of Avatar

It is the newest and the most incredible land in Animal Kingdom. This area is truly enchanting. The scenery here is based on the Avatar movie. Once the visitors enter, they are transported to the home of Na'vi. The rides are pretty amazing! The guests can take the Na'vi River Journey (a slow boat ride) or Avatar Flight of Passage, which is so famous that you might have to wait 3 hours to go on this ride. Both rides are an absolute must-see and are well worth the long wait.
